Procedural Writing

This is a great book about peace and also happens to contain strong procedural writing about how to fold a paper crane.

Thematically related to Remembrance Day, it has beautiful illustrations and contains great procedural writing. You would, of course, want to provide paper squares so that students can make the paper cranes as you read the book.

Comment bien laver son mammouth laineux is a good example of procedural writing that could be used as a model for writing procedures in Science. The humour is irresistible.

This charming book contains excellent procedural writing.

I am a Late French Immersion teacher but have taught a variety of grades from K-7 over the past 2+ decades. I have many interests: reading (mysteries, mostly), gardening, cats, dogs and much more. Humour, stories and crafts are also high on the list. Not quite sure how to put myself in a nutshell. (A slightly nutty endeavour, non?)

  1. Thank you for the suggestions, I teach LFI 6 too and it can be difficult to find books at an appropriate level. Merci Mille fois!
